Tips to get through anxiety

How are we holding up?

Perhaps like me, you’re familiar with anxiety and how it can just rush up on you in just seconds—like a brick over your chest that you can't remove.

Last week was tough for me, so I felt it and leant into my other wellness practices and backed away from asana.

I sat on my cushion and cried. Those tears kept going for a while to be honest. And I quickly realised my meditation was useless in my panicked state. So I put my wellies on, grabbed Ranger, and took to the park where I called a friend and let out what was troubling me.

I’m a multifaceted human being. We all are. So when you have moments like this, remember: it's ok to have wobbly days.

But what are your tools to help move you from that place as quickly as possible? What do you have in place that helps you while still honoring what is going on?

Here are some of my no yogic tool kit essentials for my mental health that are helping me through this lockdown.

I’ll also be sharing some breath work on the grid this week. Plus a short 5 mins video that is good on days where a meditation practice isn't what's needed, so keep a lookout for that!

Below is a list of some of my rituals:

Morning Rituals

Tea. Journaling. Meditation. Breathwork.

CBD UNA Patches

I’ll do a full story about these as I have recently been introduced to the brand and I'm really feeling the benefits of using the 8mg patch for a 24hr period.
